All these traits add up to a vacation that is so stress-free and relaxing that you just might forget you even have a 9-5 job. So, plan a trip to the Bahamas for some breathtaking scenery, exciting water sports, shopping and of course, those beaches!
The main attractions of the Bahamas are the white, sandy beaches and the turquoise waters. Year after year, tourists flock to the Bahamas to de-stress themselves on some of the most perfects beaches in the entire world. Nothing is more calming than listening to the ocean while you bask underneath a Caribbean sky. If you get tired of sunbathing, you can always check out the amazing sea life with a little scuba diving or snorkeling. You can also try your hand at para-sailing, jet skiing and surfing. Horseback riding, hiking and bicycling are other outdoor activities you will want to partake in during your vacation as well.
Paradise Island and Nassau in the Bahamas have many attractions for adults and children to enjoy. You will want to sample some of the local cuisine and these are the places to do it. You will find tons of great restaurants in Paradise Island and Nassau, so make sure to try a few of them. No vacation is complete without a little shopping and you will find tons of it in every spot in the Bahamas. You can purchase souvenirs, t-shirts, key chains or handmade items from some very talented locals. There is even a casino for those of you looking to try your luck at a little gambling.
If youve always been fascinated by pirates, youve come to the right place. The Bahamas was once home to many pirates and now contains a museum that pays homage to them and the havoc they caused.
Most people have ridden in a taxi at least a few times in their life, but what about a water taxi? In the Bahamas, you can take a water taxi across Nassau Harbour for a unique and fun experience. You can also take a powerboat ride or a dolphin swim adventure cruise for those looking to spend more time on the ocean.
To really experience the Bahamas, you will want to take a trip into the towns to see local architecture and landscape. Visit the Ardastra Gardens and the zoo to see exotic plants and animals. Little villages and charming shops adorn most towns, so youll have plenty of shopping and photo ops.
The nightlife in the Bahamas is very exciting, so dont spend all your energy sightseeing. You will want to visit some of the local bars and nightclubs to dance some of that Caribbean food off. You will have a fantastic time partying the night away; just dont let those mai tais and pina coladas get the best of you.
