Bequia doesnt have all the fancy resorts, and tall buildings, and flocks of tourists that the other islands have but it is still a tropical paradise with a beauty beyond compare. One of the drawing features of Bequia is the quaintness or homey feeling you have from the moment you arrive. Bequia has a population of less than 6,000 and is very relaxed and easy-going.
Most of the residents are sailors, boat-builders, fishermen, or connected in some way to that type of life and love to share their way of life with visitors. Bequia has beautiful sandy beaches, little villages, beautiful green hillsides, intimate hotels and guesthouses.
Sport fishing is popular on Bequia:
Passion is a 60-foot sailing catamaran operating around the island since 1922. The owners of the Passion take pride in their experience and dedication to service. The catamaran has seating for 45 persons and has a 16 x 20 foot shade roof. The catamaran is fully equipped with mens and ladies washrooms, snorkel gear, sport fishing chairs and 50-pound test fishing rods.
Bequia Dive Shops:
? Bequia Dive Adventures has PADI certified staff and instructors and offer some of the best diving experiences in the Caribbean. They offer small group diving, dive courses, and scuba courses.
? Dive Bequia is a family owned and operated dive shop in business for 20 years. There instructors and staff are PADI certified. There boast are specially designed for diving and fully equipped.
Bequia Yacht Charters:
? The Kathryn B. is a ship resembling an old-fashioned windjammer. Amidst the beautiful Victorian dcor you will also find very modern conveniences such as private bathrooms and showers in all cabins and double beds. The Kathryn B will sail to the coast of Maine and Penobscot Bay visiting many little fishing villages along the way.
? The Friendship Rose will take you on a day trip to the Tobago Cays or you can enjoy the mystery of Mustique aboard this 80-foot schooner. The trip to the Cays will take you to four deserted islets where you can snorkel and dive. Mustique is known as the playground of the rich and famous. Mustique is a 1,400 acre island of pure white sand beaches.

? Nicola III Sailing Classes and Chartering offers lesson on sailing an easy to handle 32-foot Pearson. While sailing keep a watch for dolphins, whales, and turtles.
