St. Vincent and the Grenadines offer many attractions for visitors who may be entertaining the idea of putting this destination on their vacation itinerary. Charlotte, located west of town on Berkshire Hill, named after King George III wife, houses a museum in some of the old barracks. Fort Duvernette, originally built to defend the anchorage at Calliaqua Bay, can only be reached by arranging transportation with the ferry docked at Villa Beach. Black Point Tunnel, a dirt tunnel, is the only road access point linking the south of the island to the north and only one car can pass at a time. The Doctor Cecil Cyrus Museum contains the life work of a surgeon covering over 40 years in St. Vincent. This museum contains specimens and photographs pertaining to medical conditions.

Eco-Adventures abound on St. Vincent and the Grenadines. With the lush mountains, volcanic-rich soil, spectacular flora and bountiful crystal-clear waters along with idyllic islands and deserted cays provide the visitor with boundless opportunities for exploration and adventure. Petit Byahaut offers four moorings, which are available at the resort located here. There is a small beach, as well as diving and snorkeling opportunities. Dinosaur Head located in this area is home to a 120-foot wall covered with sponges, seafans and coral. Also located in this area are Troumaca Bay, Wallilabou and Mount Wynne. Beaches and anchorages located on the southeast coast are Blue Lagoon, Villa Beach and Indian Bay, and Young Island Cut. The windward coast has a number of black sand beaches, such as Argyle, Black Point and Brighton Beach. These beaches are not recommended for swimming, even though they are very picturesque.

Shopping on St. Vincent and the Grenadines is an activity all its own. Shops and stores range from simple to sophisticated and sell anything the visitor may need or want. Everything from clothing and fabric, spirits and liqueurs, provisions, imported cigars, gourmet foods, as well as collectibles are available in the many shops and markets in this area. Most businesses are open from 8 to 12 and 1 to 3 Monday through Thursday and 8 to 12 and 3 to 5 on Fridays. Dress code is generally casual wear, with swimwear not being worn on the street, in shops and restaurants.
